TTOTT NODES

Here I provide further notes on my correlation and creation of a memory alphabet based on themes from 'the tale of the tribe'.

"Finally, Yeats mentioned 'the mathematical structure" and speculated that "when taken up into imagination" (which Pound's poem works toward) it might appear "more than mathematical, that seemingly irrelevant details" might "fit together in a single theme." They never did. But while Yeats's descriptions cannot be put together themselves, the Seal/Calendar form clarifies each one and their relations like a circle emerging from tangents, or like "the rose in the steel dust," or like '76 informing The Cantos.--Forest Read, Early prose and the "Personae" Volumes, pg. 73.

"Soon jemmijohns will cudgel about some
a rhythmatick or other over Browne and
Nolan's divisional tables whereas she, of
minions' novence charily being cupid, for
mug's wumping, grooser's grubbiness, andt's

"Such then, are the 150 images imprinted on the central wheel of the magic memory. The whole sky with all its complex astrological influences was on this wheel. The images of the stars formed combinations and convolutions as the wheels revolved.--Frances A. Yates, The art of memory, pg. 212.

FIVE TTOTT CATEGORIES.

  1. TAILORS - EARTH
  2. TEACHINGS - FIRE
  3. TOTEMS - METAL
  4. THEOS - WATER
  5. TEXTS - WOOD

Each of the five TTOTT categories are to be represented along one of the five edges/vertices to a pentagon. A sixth category can be introduced to make a correlation with a six sided Hexagon.

Each character from the TTOTT 12 will therefore have a correspnding Pentagon, as if a house in a TTOTT zodiac, with the five 'T' categories represented on the edges, simply in the text to begin with, like the ETTT header, or ETTT Icosahedron. But eventuall leading to a explorable cylindrical 'space' and navigatable Pentagons and Hexagons active at different levels of magnification.

NOTES AND RECOMMENDED READING:

2. The Five Elements

  • The concept of the Five Elements or Wu Hsing (Wu Xing in Pingying) was originally used to understand and explain how the universe works. Ancient Chinese people thought that each thing in the universe is composed of some or all of the five elements: water, fire, metal, wood and earth. Later these elements, have come to be regarded as five dynamic, interacting, universally permeating processes or forces. Their relationship can be summarized as generation, restriction, subjugation and reverse restriction.
